The House of Double O Roos 4 Photograph - Limited Edition of 50

During the first lockdown I felt trapped like everybody else. I was drawn to create something beautiful, something I would appreciate. My project is called The House of Double O Roos, it's about the Metaverse and how it's possible to create another dimension to your ultimate liking. That freedom of total control, anything goes. I focused on that world, that sense of freedom, frankly I saw an opportunity and I explored the possibilities. I felt free in that universe as I got to decide what it looks like, the colouring, the architecture, the build up, it's all mine. Here in this save space I am the creator. I created characters to express that fearless feeling. First I started designing sculptures that's the first 32 pictures, then I started creating Metahumans, I call them in this project "Fake Your Human" They actually look like real humans, it's kind of creepy to sculpt and create lifelike human figures you are mastering. Mind you, they are not real. I thought about ethics and AI and robotics while creating this. That's my project, the pictures are photographs I took of them. They are my sort of digital babies, it took me a year to create. With great freedom comes great responsibility, ethics comes to mind. I am studying for my master "Innovation Power" my graduation project is to create a game with the characters I was talking about. I felt kind of guilty for creating lifelike creatures without taking care of them properly, I started to invent a game around them. The game is called "Earth Rising" it's about saving the world in five levels while becoming aware of once own powers. This series is about them. It's all 3D sculpting, available for print as well and video.
