The Nature of Love Photograph

'The Nature of Love' - from my illustrated book, The Bright Light of Dream Stars: “The fire of love that burns brightly today will fade. Do not blame one another, it is the nature of fire to burn away. Look carefully in the ashes and you will find small glowing embers. Add leaves of respect and kindling of compassion and protect the delicate new flame, slowly the fire will grow strong and bright again." This artwork celebrates the characters deciding to commit to one another through marriage. The owl conducts the ceremony and gives a short speech about the nature of love. The image is sweet, but the message that the owl delivers is slightly challenging. You will have to play/read the book to hear all that the wise owl had to say. The image is a digital collage, made with my original photos. Each element in the photographs has been cut-out and merged and painted over and altered, using Photoshop, until the final work looks looks like a photograph/painting.
