About The Artwork
During my three weeks stay in Cuba, I made a series of images, mostly landscapes and street scenes that reflected the light and colours so specific to Cuba. I wanted to show the sense of the place, almost abstract colours and vivid light, even the sweet smells. The sea, as my constant subject, was in my focus very often. This image was shot just a few minutes before the storm on the way to the beautiful island of Santa Maria in the north of Cuba. The images from Cuba were exhibited at my solo exhibitions in Belgrade in 2001 and 2008.

I was born in 1971 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Since I was a little girl, had an interest in photography and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to dedicate my life to it. I studied photography in Prague, from 2001 to 2015 worked as an editor in the magazine for the culture of photography - ReFoto in Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2009, I teach photography at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and Belgrade. In the present days as a full professor. As well, I'm active in the art scene in Belgrade, where I live. I exhibit my art work, work as a curator, organise and give lectures and workshops, write texts about photography and artists.
