Turn Her into Literature Timmothy Lee is proud to present you Turn Her into Literature. Models in the fashion industry have a short career span. According to Timmothy, capturing portraitures of fashion models preserves the models' natural, sensual side of beauty. The beauty he perceives remains encapsulated in his photos for eternity. Perhaps, it's just a dream, or perhaps reality. As Richard Avedon (international renowned fashion and portrait photographer) once said: “He has a camera, the person he is interested in and the thing that happens between them.” And this philosophy has been inspiring Timmothy in photography art. 'Turn Her into Literature', a total of 30 piece of photographs from 2008-2012 expresses how Timmothy views his subject matter- c’est la mode(models) through observation, gradually emerging in the industry as an up-and-coming fashion photographer. Timmothy expressed his subjects practically by the capture of observation from his camera, from the very basic instinct of emotions, the use of body language, to the use of colours and lighting. His images tend to have a softer, dreamy and sensual feeling to them. He believes fashion is not merely about clothing. Fashion is about ideas, the moments we live in, emotions, personality and personal identity. Through this exhibition he will display multiple portraitures of models that come from a wide range of different backgrounds. His portraits illustrate and enhance their natural and aesthetic beauty. Whether the models are still in the field or not, he could never forget their eternal beauty.

Hong Kong
Bio: Timothy Chuck Hin Lee (Timmothy Lee) is a 28 years old Hong Kong (China) born Canadian hermit, with a graphic design diploma from Niagara College and at 2011 finished his secondary bachelor illustration degree at Ontario Arts and Design University under his belt. With a strong background of graphic design and illustration disciplines, Timmothy has self taught himself photography and have been shooting since summer 2007. Timmothy consider himself as an image maker rather than labeling himself as a graphic designer / illustrator /photographer because he does not only use a camera as a visual communication tool, but he would also co-oporate whatever he can find to use at its best. Whether it just be with a piece of coloured paper or a home depot light, or even a reflective surface, Tim's style is usually funky edged with added playful colors and deep intense graphics. With his use of high contrast and duo tones with an added mono chromic style blends which are mainly influenced by the French glamour adds uniqueness to his already one of a kind style. He Believes the process of making an image is more about what it is trying to communicate and illustrate. It is the expression and details that matters the most.
