About The Artwork

At some subway stations in Sao Paulo there are pianos installed and they are free for people to play. That man was playing Thelonious Monk's jazz songs. One of Camacho's signatures is the careful composition: here three people with movements blurred bringing the piano rhythm to the scene - their position leads the eye to the center of the scene, where the man is playing in an architectural environment that is simple, contrasty and rich in texture. This image is part of the series of photographs about subways and train subjects, meant to be a visual anthropological iconography covering people and their relations with each other inside and around the stations. This one also is part of the exhibition "Photo Station", showing 10 fine art prints of this collection. The original piece of this fine art photography art is available for appreciators: Only 10 prints will be issued, all certified by the author and the printer - only 9 available. For the moment, it is also possible to buy Saatchi's prints.

Curious and passionate about light and how it touches all things, Leo's work covers a range of different subjects. The mark of his work is diversity, light interpretation and carefull composition. Adept of using intuition (heart and analitycal mind combined) in the way of look and use techniques with both analogical and digital equipments. Most frequently he employes photojournalism approach with a fine art mindset to build images like visual narratives aiming to provocate thoughts and feelings.
