This photograph was taken in Bellevue, Washington. This image is part of my Urban Sculpture series. The image blends many concepts and elements; changing environment, modern architecture, sculpture, shapes, forms, color and texture. The Urban Sculpture series focuses on the aesthetics of people built objects, the sculptural quality and how these object exist in the environment. My aim is to reveal how I interpret the world. I am interested in exploring and creating a visual aesthetic that will challenge and question preconceived ideas about the world around us. The intent is to communicate that our surroundings influence, in not too subtle a fashion, how we experience life. Most often it is ignored by the preoccupation of daily existence. Taking these everyday objects, artifacts, or urban sculptures out of context elevates their status. And in doing so more attention may be focused on our surroundings and perhaps not take it for granted. The image is a giclée print using baryta fiber paper. Limited edition of five.
