ABOUT THE ARTIST DONALD PALLIA “Live Through Your Eyes” Donald Pallia is a versatile artist who draws inspiration from his corporate experiences, engineering and art training, and travels. He currently resides in California and primarily works with acrylics on canvas due to its drying time and flexibility. Donald's artwork often incorporates a sense of whimsy in either the subject matter or the title. He explores various artistic genres, including Wine Art, Decorative Art, Garden Art, and Figurative subjects, employing a minimalist style. Since moving to North San Diego County in 2010, Donald has been an active member of the Sergeant Art Group. He has also been associated with organizations such as the San Diego Museum Artist League, Carlsbad/Oceanside Art League, Oceanside Museum Artist League, and the Redlands Art Association. His artwork has been exhibited and sold in 26 venues across Southern California, including renowned locations such as the Riverside Art Museum, National Orange Show in San Bernardino, Redlands Art Association Gallery, Loma Linda University-Art Alliance, City of Carlsbad-Phantom Gallery, Carlsbad COAL Gallery, El Camino Country Club, Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, L'Auberge Hotel, Solana Beach Library, Front Porch Gallery, Rancho Buena Vista Adobe Gallery, Spanish Village Gallery 21, Herbert B Turner Gallery, The Carlsbad FORUM, Del Mar Art Center Plaza Gallery, Oceanside Artist Alley, Emerald C Gallery, Ruby B Gallery, Wine Steals Grotto, Cinepolis Theater (Del Mar & Carlsbad), San Diego Museum-of-Art Gallery 21, Oceanside First Friday Art Walk, Oceanside Brooks Theater exhibits, Unitarian Universalist Church in Hillcrest, Festival of the Sea-SD Maritime Museum, and Cole Library in Carlsbad. Donald's artwork has been selected by the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park. He has received recognition for his artistic achievements, including winning 3rd place at the Loma Linda University 36th Annual Fine Art Festival in 2009 and 1st place at the San Dieguito Art guild Small Image (Photography) competition in 2020. He was also selected for the Best of Oceanside Brooks Theater Art exhibit and featured in the 92nd National Orange Show in 2007. Before focusing on fine art painting, Donald Pallia worked in television production, specifically producing and directing several shows on Space Exploration that aired on the Discovery Channel.
