Germany
After working for several photographers from 1979 until 1983 I have started in 1983 as a professional studio- and location-photographer in the field of fashion, beauty, portraiture and advertising. I have worked in Germany but also in Italy (Milan), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Canary Islands), France (Paris), South Africa, Jamaica, Cuba and the USA (Miami) for local and international companies and magazines. In the nineties I began exploring new digital possibilities and experimenting with his first 3D application. As I became more and more interested in this area, I have started to print in 1998 the first lenticulars (flipp, motion and 3D-images). I was one of the first producers for lenticular artwork in Germany and founded a lenticular printing business. I was serving the marketing- and the advertising industry as well as some artists. There was hardly any time for my own ideas and creativity any more. After 10 years of producing 3D prints for clients, I had to return to my own creative roots, that I have missed so badly. As a result, I am now presenting my own genuine art. I am still into photography but I also love the ability to create images / sculptures in a 3D space. I see my work as a fusion of photography, sculpture and motion graphics. It is, compared to other forms of art, a very new and therefore still rare medium, that can create fresh visual experiences and much attention. As a lenticular specialist and 3D-artist, I create and manufacture all my lenticular artwork in-house.
