my quiet object (_8) - Limited Edition of 1 Photograph

This artwork is part of a series of works "my quiet object", but this one only is produced on a glass plate as a gum-dichromate print. Being a very diverse alternative process, through countless weeks of experimentation, finally alowed me to produce a gum-print on a glass plate. It is a very unique technique and a very unique photograph. The work itself looks as though it would be abstract, yet it is also clear what is shown. I am indulging in a game of seeing, a sort of semi-abstraction game. The series "my quiet object" began as a way to create a dialogue between the objective objects and subjective self. Continuing this series, I find that the objective object actually have much more subjectivity and philosophy behind them. This series was inspired by a semiotic-philosopher-writer Yuri Lotman.
