About The Artwork

The artwork is made by scanning illustrations and engravings from old books of medicine, inventions and natural science that are in the public domain. These illustrations are combined and composed in Photoshop giving the original pictures a completely new meaning. The motive is transferred to a Solar Plate, also known as a Photopolymer plate, and printed on a traditional etching press. The result is an absurd and surreal situation with a touch of humor, with the appearance of an old print. Handpulled limited edition of 20 copies. 3 sold This print was one of ten artworks selected by an international jury to be shown at the "12 inches of sin VI" exhibition at the Sin City Gallery in Las Vegas 21-23 of july 2017. The exhibition is now going on the road to be shown at other galleries in the US.

I live Oslo and mainly work as an animator and director, but also make prints using the Solar Plate technique. I try to create artwork that has humor and depicts a surreal and absurd situation.
