This piece is a celebration of the classic 1980s tune Just Be Good to Me by the S.O.S. Band and explores the music's themes in a visual language that evokes the track's boldness, power and joy. The visual vernacular of urban life inspires its graphic forms, for example, the textures and colours of printed pasted-up bill posters and the font styles of the large and elongated lettering markings found on roads and signs around the band's home city Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.

Recent MA study in Art and Design has taken my practice in a typographic/pop-cultural direction.
