About The Artwork

The "A Low-Fat Alternative to Chips" painting was completed in 2015 by artist Cherie L. Smittle featuring people engaged in adventure sports on popcorn. The artist participated in a challenge to paint popcorn, however when she looked at the kernels they reminded her of mountains. So, she got creative and added people doing various extreme activities on the kernels. She chose to add just a hint of butter color to keep the fat content down :) Original Medium: Oil Date Released: 7/17/2018 Hand signed and numbered Printed on Hahnemühle Velvet Photo Rag Matte Pigment Watercolor Paper. The fine, smooth surface, heavy weight (308 g, 21-mil thick), and feel of Photo Rag® make this paper versatile with impressive pictorial depth and detail. Photo Rag® is a white, 100% cotton paper and with its premium matte coating Photo Rag® meets the highest industry standards regarding density, color gamut, color graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.
