Revolutions are being established through Twitter and Facebook, refuges find their way through the exchange of information on Social Media. People's lives are determined by email, LinkedIn, Instagram and Social Media apps. People give insight into their private lives and sacrifice their privacy to be part of the internet platforms. The requirement is that you are connected everywhere, every time. You must be "Online", preferably "Wireless" via WIFI, Bluetooth or otherwise. In addition to all the volatile contacts and communication there is the trend the old, authenticity. People are people and remain as they have been through the centuries. Da Vinci's image of the Vitruvius man related to humanism, stipulating that people have a choice between good and evil and nothing is preset or predetrmined. This has not changed in our 'Modern Times', or it should be that there is equality of male female and the gender discusion to self-determination what you are, male or female. The image is made with the old technique, woodcut, and shows the current human being as part of the Social Media of these 'Modern Times' Modern Times De huidige tijdgeest wordt bepaalt door Social Media. Revoluties komen tot stand door gebruik van Twitter en Facebook, vluchtelingen stromen vinden hun weg door de uitwisseling van informatie via de Social Media. Het leven van de mensen wordt bepaald door e-mail, LinkedIn, Instagram en Social Media apps. Mensen geven inzicht in hun privé leven en offeren hun privacy op om deel uit te mogen maken van de internet platforms. Eis hierbij is dat je overal bereik hebt, je moet overal ‘Online’ zijn, bij voorkeur ‘Draadloos’ via WIFI, Bluetooth of anders. Naast alle vluchtige contacten en communicatie is er de hang naar het oude, het authentieke. Mensen blijven dan ook zoals ze door de eeuwen heen geweest zijn. Da Vinci’s afbeelding van de Vitruvius man geeft het niet alleen weer in menselijke verhoudingen, maar ook in de keuze die we hebben tussen het goede en het kwade. Dit is in onze ‘Modern Times’ niet veranderd, wel is er de gelijkheid van man vrouw en de zelfbeschikking om man of vrouw te zijn. De afbeelding is gemaakt met de oude techniek, houtdruk, en laat de huidige mens zien als onderdeel van de Social Media van deze ‘Modern Times’
