About The Artwork

This image is generated from a series of paintings called New Village. This particular work is a provisional painting inspired by the dynamics of street art to ancient folk traditions. Loose and painterly marks come together to create an impactful rhythm. Transparencies and a well-worked canvas make for a soulful archeology. The keyed up color palette reads with a energetic positivity. The composition is meant to be read like a contemporary meditation. Other paintings from this series have exhibited at the Elmhurst Art Museum, The St Louis University Art Museum and the Evansville Museum of Art, History and Science. I have printed this as an archival light jet print and have it mounted to a 1/4" plexi face. The back has a french cleat allowing the work to be easily installed and appear to float. It presents 1" from the wall. The artwork is signed and numbered on verso. Thank you for your time and interest.
