Art Description

Printmaking: Digital on Paper.

In this series of pictures, I'm exploring the idea of something that’s been tossed aside getting repurposed and reconfigured to make something new and lovely.

The “pieces” in this series are meant to evoke discarded paper offcuts or fabric scraps, and to remind us that anything that’s discarded or fractured can be made whole again. But whatever it is won’t be the same: it will be beautiful in a new way altogether.

About My Work
I make digital art by painting and manipulating images with my fingers on a touch screen with the same app David Hockney has been using for his digital imagemaking. I love that direct, tactile connection with the work - touchscreens bridge traditional physical art making with digital, deliberately leaving evidence of human touch.
