A tribute to the forgotten session musicians of yesteryear. In this series of linocuts, I wanted to simplify the musician’s form and deconstruct their instruments to a point where I could carve it into the lino to create a bold and graphic image. I selected three muted colours of a similar tone so that they would all work together in any combination. Celebrating the iconic Pete Townshend ‘windmill’. One colour linocut on Canson Mi Teintes acid free 160gsm pastel paper. Please note that each print has been hand pulled, and may vary slightly in tone and ink spread from the listed image. The Guitarist is available in editions of 250 on four different paper colours.

I am inspired by the film, tv and music of the 1960's and work with the bold graphics and vibrant colours synonymous with this era.
