This is the first print in which I used multiple zinc plates. The reason behind this typical arrangement of the plates being an attempt to show a connection between two forms/scenes and to make the composition appear in a flow.
The upper part consists of a plan view of a human brain stuck inside a mobile phone. The eye inside symbolizes the subconscious mind which is hardwired to control the personified family of thoughts. These thoughts are limbs and parts of chairs and tables protruding and dining together on various sensory and facial expressions, to react on the experiences. The brain in the mobile phone hints towards our addiction and enslavement to the virtual and digital world, which in turn compels the thoughts to act upon each other’s contemplations based on the fake reality.
My emphasis is literally on opening up the interior workings of our mind, suggesting that the virtuality today, severely affects our thinking processes and it is of serious concern.

Born on March 12, 1998. I am a Visual Artist living and working in Mumbai, India. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. After that, I worked for a year or so as a Jr. Executive in the Art Restoration department at an auction house based in Mumbai. Since then I have been exploring further analogous disciplines like Psychology, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy and currently, my new fascination is the Ancient Indian Knowledge Traditions to gain a deeper insight into the nature of human consciousness and confinements of our reality. I create Art as a way to journalize my sense of reality and the present moment. Since a young age, I have been intrigued by people’s personalities, behaviour and how they perceive things around them. I love painting portraits as well. My media use ranges from paper maché using recycled paper pulp, fibre, embroidery, collage, traditional watercolour, pastels, oils and acrylics, to digital illustration. Some of my undergraduate works were exhibited in a group show ‘Habitat’ curated by the famous Indian art curator Sonal Motla, at Hirji Jehangir Gallery, Jehangir Art Gallery in Kala Ghoda Art Festival, 2020 in Mumbai. One of my initial works was featured in an online activity feature, ‘Mirror Image’ by the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, Mumbai for 'Akbar Padamsee: A Tribute' exhibition, on 18 May 2020 on the account of International Museum Day on their website - http://jnaf.org/event/mirror-image/ I have been featured with my digital works under the pseudonym 'Kshatakshataksh' on a digital platform/database called Homeostasis Lab, among many other emerging artists around the world.
