Traces is the defining work of the series Traces of a Place. Inspired by memories of travelling through Thailand, it explores the way landscapes remain with us long after we leave them. Contact us.I am a Slovenian visual artist and art educator whose work is shaped by a deep curiosity for places, memory, and the emotions carried within everyday experiences. Travelling, observing nature, and spending time outdoors have become an essential part of my creative process, inspiring works that grow from personal encounters rather than direct documentation.
Working primarily in relief printmaking and painting, I create images that are not intended as literal representations, but as quiet visual memories; fragments of light, movement, texture, and emotion.
My practice is guided by the belief that places stay with us long after we leave them. Rather than documenting landscapes or figures, I distill them into simplified forms that evoke atmosphere and invite personal interpretation. Each body of work develops around a central concept, allowing individual pieces to become part of a larger visual narrative.
Alongside my artistic practice, my background in art education continues to influence the way I think about image-making; as a process of observation, experimentation, and visual storytelling. Through my work, I hope to create contemplative spaces where viewers can reconnect with their own memories and experiences.
