About The Artwork
The Brain: a vessel. Another symbol of our mind, a vessel for our consciousness, thought, feeling and intellectual powers. The context of the large channels from the brain to heart and the thinckness of the 'dura mater' engrossed me for this interpretation. Even when our brain knows better, we get all tangled up in emotions form the heart, tending to wrap ourselves in a think skin for protection. I am a goldwork or metal thread emboidery artist....I do not consider myself a multi-media artist. What I use to enhance and compliment my creations grow from them.For this sculpture, the brain is wrapped up by the heart.
