Art Description

Sculpture: Paper, Digital, Cardboard, Vector on Paper, Cardboard.

Annika is part of my lasercut series which is investigating hypothetical utopian realities in other times and/or places vs. our planet and time. A story is created about a visitor from an abstract time. The visitor remains hidden, but he leaves traces of his findings, image-artifacts from our current time, that have been looked at and possibly transformed by a glimpse of eyes originating in the future.

Annika has first been hand drawn then scanned and transformed into a digital image which has then been burned out of a sheet of paper using a lasercut machine. It can be seen as a modern day version of a traditional scissorcut.
