Apple Abs 2 - Lacquer exploration Sculpture

This was an evolution from the Abs-1 work. Exploring both the use of negative space, but also the complex curves and shapes which can be formed by intersecting and subtracting simple shapes. The goal was, again, to explore how to use 3D printing software to create virtual shapes then bring them to the real world, but in a form more pleasing than plastic, and using the flexibility available with clay. The laquer style glazing is made from three glazes used in a proprietary way. The metallic glaze is intended to complement the complexity of the outer glaze.The object is intended to intrique by the complexity of the shape and decoration.
