About The Artwork

This piece was created by myself and my father, EJ McIntyre. We wanted something challenging we could work on together since most of the work we do is kind of hard to do with two people. This is our quality time to be creative together and really test our abilities. I hope viewers will appreciate the extensive amount of work that goes into creating this one of a kind piece of art. The root came from a tree that fell over and it is now a symbol of the beauty mother nature has to offer, instead of just rotting away. The frame is made out of wood and certain areas in the back are layered with fiberglass so it can withstand any mishaps. The rope trim flows beautifully from the frame to the root and is sure to catch anyone's attention. It's finished with a hammered bronze paint and the picture consisted of multiple colors of mica powder mixed with epoxy.
