This is it. My genesis piece. I have been sculpting for 18 years. I have worked patiently and with determination until my skills coalesced with my vision in to what I feel is a worthy investment in a material that will outlast all of us. Bronze will be with us for generations. A material that ages beautifully and can be passed to your children and their children. And with this sentiment in mind I present to you; EOS: Goddess of Dawn. She is as timeless as the bronze in which she is cast. Forever stretching above the Earth. Bringing hope and warmth to each day. She is the delightful and beautiful medium between our world and the great glowing firmament. She is the first in a group of Goddess statues I am developing. Each with an aesthetic that pays homage to antiquity and the Belle Epoque of France's golden age. The statues will all be infused with subtle nods to Greco /Roman statuary and the timeless beauty of the art nouveau and art deco movements. My hope is that I have done justice to this long lineage of beauty and sentiment and the purchase of each statue will help me continue this exploration. The physical aspects of the statue are as follows; This is number 1 in an edition of 20 Bronze on Black granite base. 30" tall 10" deep 10" wide (76cm x 25cm x 25 cm) 28 pounds (12.6kg) Classic verdigris patina with pearlescent finish that glows amazingly and catches the sun incredibly well with the softly polished representation of the sun behind her. If you would like more photos of her I will happily provide them. Cast lovingly and with great attention to detail by the artisans at Valley Bronze in Oregon.
