Sculpture, Glacier Stone on Aluminium
Size: 21 W x 16.5 H x 5 D in
Ships in a Box
This recycled aluminum sculpture was inspired by a leaf wedged between two rocks; the leaf can no longer blow around or travel until it is set free from the top stone; this a good symbol for various aspects of the human condition as well as what climate change can do to all life.It is also a depiction of back problems malnurishment and a wingless or armless creature that has the weight of the world on its back. Its a general symbol of various problems. The glow from the silver and gold onto the curve/lumbar may depict a pronounced heat on ones back. It was designed to be very simple, elegant and somewhat human because of the depiction of a lower lumbar and skeletal system. In the eye of the beholder it doesn't have to mean or depict any of the above; it can simply be for those who appreciate art just for arts sake; so to speak.

Date of Birth: Jan 3,1977 Im formally trained in drawing, sculpture and animation; I now create fold formed leaf spine hybrids out of recycled industrial metal whether it be a jet plane fusalage; brass pole or copper tube I select recycled materials as part of the message. Most of my sculptures are general human existance based depictions (the human condition) often in conjunction with climate change they may be the story of Easter Island, love, famine, families etc; themes of symbiosis and harmony with the world might be seen in my sculptures. The style of my sculptures are surreal, they are often a combination of plants, creatures, musical instruments, vehicles etc.I've always liked art, it was always my favorite subject in school as far as I remember. After all of the computer classes and proffesions since 1999 e.g. 3D modelling, animation and multimedia, visual effects I have decided to return to the basics.I guess I just love physical dimentional art. I've worked breifly in the gamming industry (x-Box/playstation).Produced an illustration for published psychiatricbook "Primal Minds Primal Games" and have worked as a graphic designer in signage. My hobbies and interests include kayaking, herbalism, mushroom hunting, psychiatry, evolution, creation
