Ingredients for a Sacred Grove Sculpture

This sculpture is the seventh of an edition of 12 ; made of bronze, patinated, and finished with coloured wax and gold leaf. It is a little shrine or reliquary which contains the makings of a Sacred Grove. Inside the cupboard/tree are seeds of all the 7 sacred trees, oak, ash, hawthorn, blackthorn, hazel, holly, and yew, and on top sits the Goddess, holding a sickle moon. She is in the process of becoming a tree herself, and her branches contain many tiny gold birds. Just add soil, and a little water. Inspired by Nature and magic.
