About The Artwork

This is the second sculpture - “Judaism Decoupling” - in a series dedicated to studying religion, a critical perspective on religion, and its interactions with humanism. The title of the work is self-descriptive, answering the question: "Do we inherit good ethics from Judaism to guide our lives?" One of a kind piece.

In my work I always try to find answers to a series of existential questions like these ones: is there beauty and joy in our lives, why do we enjoy living if the strongest memories we have got are our negative experiences, what is the meaning of life? I see human life as a sequence of emotional states that we can barely comprehend and make sense of them, drifting from point A (birth) to our final destination - point B (death), which is waiting for us just around the corner. Emotions and experiences in their purest forms are my subjects of interest, which I try to express through abstracted figures.
