About The Artwork
It is what comes beyond the last chance. Once hope is gone, it emerges, weak but invincible, fearful and convinced. “Last resurrection” is the personification of a long cycle of resurgences and a false eternity that will reach its end soon. “Last resurrection” is a sculpture by Diego López Ibarra, a material researcher who is constantly developing experiments to find new aesthetic expressions. The aluminum piece was made in 2018 during a long series of experiments. Diego collaborates with the will of the material in order to find new formal possibilities. The artist allows the material to add contributions to the final result. The size of the piece and the fact that it can be viewed from any angle (since it has no main view) make it perfect for tables, bars, dressers, desks, bookshelves, breakfast nooks and more.
