About The Artwork

About my eco aware original sculpture, a one-of-a-kind work, part of my Eco Aware Polytonal Series: How many megapixels correspond to the representation of nature? The human eye has a high resolution only in the visual center and can differentiate millions of colors there and already a few mm beside it there is the so „called blind spot". There are people who can see through birth and practice better resolutions than „average people“ there are those who see faster or better than the average and then there are the synesthetes and the tatrachromic super watchers with four color vision cones. About 90% of the people do not see which "resolution" the movie in cinema has and or whether it is an analog film or digital film. In still images, the viewing center switches to resolution mode. So, how far needs technology advance to come to the megapixels level corresponding to nature? Why would this makes sense, or no sense at all? This question I tried to explore with my work „Megapixels of Nature“. Why is human kind so much attracted by higher and higher, better and better? Or as Friedensreich Hundertwasser put it: „When dwellings are stacked upwards, first humans perish and then nature. When they are stacked widthways, it is the other way round.“ -Friedensreich Hundertwasser All my original pieces are fully signed on the back. (If you wish an additional signature on the front, this is gladly possible on request, please provide a note when ordering). Fine high quality materials such Golden artist paint products are used. This unique sculptural artwork comes ready to hang with hanger included. The official catalog raisonné number is always noted on the back. Likewise, the title and year of creation are recorded on the back. A certificate of authenticity is attached to each work and includes a list of used material. Kindly note: This sculptural installation is created from worn mid century drawer panels and does not come framed, however the paint continues on the edges of the wood that already has a unique shape that frames the artwork. Therefore framing is not necessary or recommended. This sculptural installation is ready to hang. Please contact me if you have any questions about this or any other one of my paintings! Please connect with me also, if you wish to see more photographs, this is gladly possible. I am always happy to assist. Thanks a lot for your interest in my work Sincerely, Jacob © 2021 JVS Original Artwork - All rights reserved.

What remains is the love and kindness in my heart, which I cherish like a treasure. Whatever happens in life, the beat of our hearts decides the path. The essence of unity is reflected in my art. I travelled the world in search of my family and eventually achieved the healing of generations through my relentless search and longing to reunite my family on two continents. By nature I am actually rather shy and very sensitive. I love to support others. Love to speak about unity, about love, and all the wonders I witnessed on my journey around the world. I am grateful you are interested in my work. Art is my life. My work features small, medium, large and also extra large scale paintings on a very wide variety of surfaces. I use canvas, paper, wood, and several nonconventional surfaces such as time worn wood, vintage papers, and antique textiles, and metal findings that I have collected over the years during my travels. I often paint with tools that I have developed myself or use unconventional ones. At times I refuse to use brushes and painter's knives and use only things from everyday life in an adapted form to create my art. My sculptural works feature beach wood, textile surfaces in combination with colored resin, and a selection of antique findings.
