About The Artwork
'Nautilus II' is apart of my continuing 'Evolution Series'. This collection of works combine the natural and mechanical world together creating hybrid works that highlight humanity's detrimental impact on the natural world around us. The oceans, rivers and waterways of the globe are often the final destination of man's refuse and throw-away culture. Here the marine life and corals are required to adapt or die. This series of work explores the hope that nature will always find a way to continue... the issue is will we as a society realise the enormous environmental impact we inflict before it is too late for us to adapt our behaviour and actions.
