About The Artwork
Where I live on Waiheke Island in New Zealand we are running a rat eradication program to help support the local bird life. Many of my works celebrate the delicate nature of birdlife to help raise awareness of their importance and the need to protect their habitats. This work was inspired by Welcome Swallows that fly on dusk around my farm seeking tiny airborne insects. These works are wall mounted sculptural works made in metal so they can sit in areas with sunlight exposure within your home with no fear of them fading. Each work comes with a full template showing you where to place each bird, they have pins attached on the back.
