About The Artwork
The idea behind this sculpture was of me and my wife entangled together as one. For me, my wife’s head on my chest is the ultimate feeling of peace and love. As the sculpture progressed, I knew I wanted to show how our life pathways were different. Her life has been calmer and more settled, opposed to mine being riskier and uncontrolled. To translate this idea, I kept her side smooth and white, while making mine textured with hints of color. The desired results were to capture the sense of emotion between my wife and I in our embrace.

Inspirations, knowledge, and ideas change as my art evolves. I believe some of my best work comes from the imperfections, unplanned events, and through experimentation.
