About The Artwork
This sculpture is a tribute to the relentless work carried out by insects. It requires observation and reflection. I created the dancer outfit from a wasps' nest with all the care and respect due to the creatures that built it out of chewed wood fibres. How many trips were needed to build even a square inch of that dwelling? On a human scale, such an object would be priceless. Named after German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch.
