About The Artwork
Bas-relief "Prophet Zechariah". Acrylic casting, oil. Made for project "After Icon. Re:construction". Zechariah was the 11th of the 12 Minor Prophets and the author of the Book of Zechariah. In 6 century B.C. the Jews returned from captivity to ruined Jerusalem. They were very sad. One night Zechariah saw a man riding on a red horse that stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow. He was an angel. And the angel said that Jerusalem will be reconstructed.
