About The Artwork

Rockabilly music emerged in the 1950's, as a delightful combination of rock 'n roll and country. Since then, the Rockabilly style has gained many fans - with the aesthetic elements of the 50's still rampant in clothing and style. Rockabilly fashion became its own genre - pulling from the 50s and adding a bit of punk flair. Rockabilly enthusiasts will embellish themselves in a menagerie of feminine, floral, animal print, bright red and, of course, tattoos. Inspired by the Rockabilly movement, this sculpture captures a Rockabilly Woman in the traditional garb but with a twist. Her partially exposed skull, both ominous and intriguing, represents her timelessness - much like the Rockabilly style itself. Every hair in place, perfectly coiffed...yet she's macabre and still on the fringes of life and death. Hand sculpted in clay, cast in plastic resin then hand-painted in acrylics. Measurements and weight are approximate. Please be sure to read care instructions to keep your art looking good as new!

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Relationships are curated by verbal communication. At work, at home, at the park, at the bar, online - all of these environments are threaded together by talking and words. I hope to make the viewer feel something intense, without any written communication or verbal context. The raise of an eyebrow, the purse of lips, eyelids spread wide; these nonverbal signals are lost across webs of computer screens and chat bubbles. My art pulls the viewer back to the present moment, back to the human experience of feeling. Weaving human archetypes with fantastical themes invites the viewer to see something unexpected - and to experience emotions that are so often pushed aside for rational thinking and talking.
