About The Artwork
The last supper was the final meal that Jesus shared with his Apostles in Jerusalem. By all accounts it was a gloomy affair as Jesus knew that at the end of that week he would be crucified. What is not so widely known is that there was a supper, the penultimate supper, which took place the day before the last supper. Wine flowed and the food was take-away and all present left the table well fed and just a little tipsy.
