ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Recently, I turned to paper wall art after many years of paper making and book making. I am fascinated by wall art and the posibilities it contains. With these rozettes, you can make endless formations in your living room or elsewhere in the house. They come in a set of 20 unique, handmade pieces and can be easily hanged to your wall by a small nail or with double-sided tape. You can make any formation you like, in a square-shape, or more playfull all mixed up. Each piece is about 7-10 centimeters in diameter and 3 centimeters high. I like the playfull appearance this piece has and the multiplicity. It can be used in your home or office.

In response to the ongoing digitalisation, paper artist Imre van Buuren (Almelo, 1969) is making books with accompanying cassettes by hand in her studio in The Hague, the Netherlands. The books can be filled as you like, with your stories, thoughts and images. You can write in them and paste photographs so it really becomes Your Book. Imre is looking for a quiet and subdued atmosphere in her work. Combining assembled paper with silk and threads to obtain a intime artwork that consists of a handmade book stored in a cassette that has a cover which consists of a collage of small items.
