the sculpture called "the animal that's inside us" reflects the metamorphosis of human into animals by changing form via shapeshifting. in greek mythology, the transformation is often a punishment from the gods to humans who crossed them. i think nowdays the human bings with a lot of wars, disregard for the earth and all of problem caused of our mistakes we don't need to curse of the gods and we are normally transforming to the animals,vampires, werewolves and blood-drinking humans and no more need to full moon for trasformation... abut material: the sculpture made of clay in cooper cover helping electroforming method with marble base. this is a single edition.

Maryam Baniasad is an Iranian-born artist, who lives and works between Milan & Tehran. Her works have been internationally exhibited since 2005. Her artworks are influenced by her long-time studies and practice of meditation, yoga and self-exploration. Her works revolve around the relation between human’s mind, body, spirit, identity and psychology with society. the spirit of her subjects is always contemporary contexts. Her primary medium is sculpture and installation, using a wide variety of materials, including Bronze, metals, wood, ceramic, plexiglass and plastics. She also works in photography and drawing. She attended her BA in sculpture at Tehran Fine Arts University in Tehran/Iran from 2000 to 2005, and followed by MA in sculpture at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan/Italy from 2010 to 2013. She is member of the Association of Iranian Sculptors (AIS) and collaborates with an Iranian magazine specialized in contemporary art, PELLEMAG. She has been the recipient of some international awards and recognitions. In 2018 she was selected as a finalist at the 7" contemporary art international COMEL Award, Latina, Italy. In 2010 she was selected for free casting in the biggest foundry in Europe located in Verrès, Aosta Valley, Italy and obtaining a memorial medal. In 2008 she was awarded in the First International visual art festival Fajr , Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. Tehran Iran .she also had an Art show and conference about her own artworks at Nava Association of Yoga, Tehran, Iran (2013)
