Cali Girl 5/10 Second Edition Print

Cali Girl: This is Braydens one of his first big Artwork successes, and he sold the original to a collector in Austin Texas a few weeks after first showing it in a gallery in Santa Monica in 2013 that he sold out on. Brayden has an original technique in building his 2 edition works where he rips apart Giclée prints of the work to fit the lines of the original pieces glues it all together to give it a similar feel as the original. Then he cuts metallics to make the frame of the sunglasses, and then attaches epoxy glazed images to make of the lenses of the glasses. Then he does a thin frame that he covers in gold leaf, and the frame overlaps over tiles. To finalize it he puts thick textured varnish over it, to give it a greater feel, and texture of an original artwork. Collectors like these original 2 editions more than prints because they are in a medium price point, and they feel just like original pieces of art for half the cost, and no one is alike. Plus he is only doing ten of them that he marks off in a tediously looked after log of all his sales.
