In this piece I'm investigating how social media is no longer social as it has given people a vehicle to be purely hateful and spiteful at a distance. Valid opinions and views on any subject are now subject to scrutiny to the minutest detail and can be derided and twisted to be perceived as bad. Debate is no longer an issue, there is no center ground to be taken and its author is vilified on a global level. My take on this is to basically appreciate that we have the facility to have an opinion and love the freedom that we have. Many don't have such freedoms. Rant over.

I'm a British artist and Art Educator now located in Nova Scotia, Canada. My roots are firmly in the popular culture of the 20th Century and I use references from film, TV and music and icons from that era but also reference or juxtapose them using text. I'm a fan of "Lowbrow" artists such as Robert Williams, Coop etc. but also cross-reference these stylistically with Warhol, Twombley, Rauschenberg, Johns, Rosenquist, Lichtenstein etc. I am multi-disciplinary in my practice with a leaning towards print making and collage. Although my prints are usually limited to one-offs, I am able to print others as requested. Maybe different colours, multiples on different papers etc. The answer (usually) is Yes, now let's just see how we can get it done.
