My name is Irina Safronova, but my creative pseudonym is Palirina, because my maiden name is Palamarchuk Irina or Palirina. Even as a child, drawing at school lessons, I knew that I would be a famous artist, and it will be my pseudonym! I was born and live in Minsk, Belarus. I always liked drawing abstract rather than the real thing. I drew without pencil sketches, but immediately with paint. So my hand became an extension of my soul, imprinting my emotions. But the instructors called it frivolous work and I felt wrong. I liked to draw something and then look for meaning. Only now I realized that this is what Creativity is all about. Free, meditative... When you are like a guide and through your hand very important meanings are poured on a canvas not only for you but also for others. That's why I am close to the modern technique of abstract painting "fluid art". It's wonderful because each picture is unique and can never be repeated. What is also wonderful is that any imperfection in this technique is not a mistake but a proof of authenticity. Imperfection is a virtue here, as it conveys uniqueness and reflects the handiwork. Ideal and combed does not catch the eye, it is the author's handwriting and imperfection that makes the image memorable, whether it is an accidental drop or, at first glance, a crooked line)). The fluid art paintings are meditative for me and for the viewers of my paintings. They are like metaphorical maps where everyone sees something that corresponds to his or her inner filling. And I only express my vision when I think of a title for a painting or a whole project. Apart from art direction, I also do professional conceptual stylistics. That helps me in painting as I have a good command of color, form and texture. After all, both style and art are about visuals, about aesthetics. And also I like to think in terms of projects and therefore I like to create not just single paintings but whole art projects united by some interesting theme. I created the publications of my stylistic projects in good glossy magazines and they had a great success due to their unique concept. For example, I brought up the theme of COVID-19 and the social upheaval about it. Or reflected on the political situation of 2020 in Belarus, which is still complicated.
