ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Poppet Show is an artistic exploration that delves into the intricacies of the Qajar period in Iran's history, with a focus on the social-political issues manipulated through political propaganda and militarism. Using collage techniques infused with a contemporary vision, this collection seeks to unravel the narratives of power, control, and resistance that shaped this historical epoch. The Qajar period in Iran was marked by a complex interplay of political maneuvering, propaganda dissemination, and militaristic strategies employed by the ruling class to assert dominance over the population. "Poppet Show" confronts this historical reality, shedding light on how political figures wielded propaganda as a tool for control and militarism to enforce authority.
