About The Artwork
Inspired by my love of the natural world. Comprised of found colours and textures ripped and cut from magazines. My collages use the colours and textures that I find in magazines as an alternative to paint. It is intentional that when viewing my work that the method used is not instantly obvious. At first glance it is often assumed that I have used paint and only on closer inspection does it become apparent that the piece consists entirely of ripped and cut magazines. I am inspired by the idea that climate change is real and my collages often feature nature & children as a reminder that we need to preserve the earth for future generations.
