Exploring the delicate interplay between ephemeral beauty and the transient nature of life, “Glitch 003: Flux” emerges as a contemplative digital artwork. An orchestration of vibrant orange flowers gracefully converges with a meticulously rendered human skull, creating an intimate dialogue with the viewer. Influenced by the expressive strokes of Cy Twombly, the digital canvas becomes a visual journey, guiding contemplation through deliberate strokes and nuanced doodles. The color palette, a harmonious blend of bold pinks, yellows, greens, and alabasters, takes an explorative turn with the predominant presence of orange, marking a departure for the artist. The recurrent motif of the skull, a personal archetype, anchors the composition, inviting reflection on life's transient essence. Purposeful interruptions and glitches, aligned with the πάντα ῥεῖ (panta rhei) philosophy, impart a subtle emotional resonance, acknowledging the inherent turbulence within existence. A predominant decisive orange stroke, delicately smudged, graces the skull, while white daisies with purple heads symbolize the delicate balance between life and death. In this digital realm, where painted strokes transcend precise cutting, “Glitch 003: Flux” offers a nuanced exploration, creating an emotionally charged narrative within the realm of contemporary digital art.

Romeo Madonna (London, 1987) is a collage artist based in Florence where he currently lives and works. A self-taught visual artist, collage - both digital and analog - represents his favorite means of expression, the investigative method of his research and the synthesis of the philosophy underlying his artistic practice. A film student at the Roma Tre University with the aim of becoming a screenwriter, he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti because he was obsessed with engraving and printing techniques. His professional experiences in the field of mixology and luxury retail contributed significantly to defining the traits and themes of his artistic identity, fusing a digital approach with traditional techniques. Visions of time, beauty, identity and death are recurring themes in his works.
