About The Artwork

Digital studies and interpretations from my Legends series - Signed Giclée print on fine art paper (canvas also available). A tribute to David Bowie aka Ziggy Stardust aka Starman. Timeless music by a music man like no other. And to dispell a common myth regarding his different eye colours - Bowie actually suffered from anisocoria: namely that one pupil was bigger than the other. The iris can't react to light in the same way, so the area appears to be darker, so it can appear as if one eye is a different colour to the other. My digital prints are a way of combining my years in design and illustration with my own art and passions.. via a medium that allows my art to be more accessable and affordable, for all to own and enjoy.

Bio Liam is the current Art Battle national champion of New Zealand - whoop whoop! Express yourself Life is about the moment. We are free to express ourselves. Making our mark helps us to find our place within the moment. The trick is to stay there. Liam studied at the London Institute and Brighton College of Art and Design in the UK. He worked in the design and illustration industry before packing his paint brush and moving to New Zealand in 2001. Wasting no time he set about creating and exhibiting across Auckland and even dabbled in running his own high street art gallery on Waiheke Island. Auckland has become Liam’s spiritual home, while he continues to find inspiration around most corners of New Zealand. From Rangitoto to the city, chaos to sustainability, following his heart, passions and observations. It’s all about the moment. Liam can usually be found painting in his garden studio in Laingholm, and he wouldn’t swap it for the world! Liam is on the Art Commission Ltd NZ advisory committee
