The inspiration behind my artwork stems from the profound Cherokee teaching of an elder imparting wisdom to his grandson about life. However, I chose to reinterpret this narrative by replacing the traditional wolves with my spiritual animal, the tiger. The tiger embodies power, courage, and strong will, resonating deeply with my own journey of resilience and survival. In creating this piece, I aim to evoke a sense of introspection and contemplation in its viewers. By presenting the contrasting elements of light and darkness represented by the black and white platform, I invite observers to reflect on their own inner conflicts and the duality of human nature. The circling tigers symbolize the perpetual struggle between these opposing forces, encouraging viewers to confront and reconcile their own internal conflicts. The choice of digital painting as the medium for this artwork was deliberate, allowing me to seamlessly blend realism with symbolism and convey intricate details. Using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop, I was able to intricately craft the imagery to capture the essence of the tiger's strength and presence. Additionally, the bird's-eye view perspective adds depth to the composition, enhancing the thematic elements of introspection and self-reflection. Overall, this piece represents a fusion of personal narrative, artistic expression, and digital innovation.
