Steve Khan enjoys using humour to make people more comfortable about sexuality, race and gender. He acknowledges this tends to reposition those with privilege to experience what it’s like to be without it. He works with text, drawing and video. He is a graduate from the joint Art and Art History program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College and has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the US. In 2019, his solo exhibition, The motion of light in water, will be presented for the first time at Art Square Gallery in Toronto. He also has a solo exhibition called SHAME IS FOR BEGINNERS at Pegasus in Toronto in 2019, and in 2015, SHAME IS FOR BEGINNERS was exhibited at Cedar Ridge Gallery in Scarborough.
