About The Artwork

One of two recent ventures into pure pencil drawings. A practice of more figurative implementation of my monster universe after enjoying several brilliant pencil drawings by artists around the world. I wanted to test my ability to depict realistic detail. Originally no intent behind, there usually is none. But I ended up feeling the piece is about modern life, the demons and insanities we have to live with as citizens of a modern society and especially in big cities. The pressure of archiving constant goals and responding to constant requirements of life within such a framework and culture.

I'm born in Krakow Poland. My mother escaped Poland and brought the two of us to Denmark when I was 3, here we spent time living in refugee camps few years, but I was young enough when we finally got our own home and I could start school like everyone else here in Denmark. I was still foreign but caught on to the language very fast like any child does. Actually I understood English and German before Danish because of cartoons in TV and because most people at refugee camps would speak English. Everything went smooth from here and I'm practically brought up with Danish culture besides regular visits to my family back in Poland. I've embraced modern culture and computers with eager and always been inspired here when drawing my characters. As long as I remember, characters have been on the menu. My pseudonym Custom Horror was born when I wanted to define some boundaries to who I was as an artist. For me it was about defining the essence of what I love doing the most, letting my fantasy loose and depicting weird creatures. With my boundaries I still feel boundless. I'm that guy drawing monsters, but within that realm I believe I can grow and expand in any direction.
