Khulekani Mkhize is a South Afican artist from KZN in KwaMashu. He was raised by a single mother in avillage called Barnabas at Umzizmkhulu Kwa-Zulu Natal where he Started his lower Classes. As a child he used to play with Charcoal drawing lines on the walls in the house which grew an interest in Art. In 2010 he joined Velobala Art Program hosted by DUT at city campus, after matriculating at Isibonelo High School Studied Art & Design at Thekwini College, in Durban. In 2015 he began his career in art, in 2015 he became a member of Amasosha Art Movement which is a collective of Durban Artist that promote hard work and solidarity amongst Artist. Showed his work for the first time at Atlier Shop2 for Umhlabelo group exhibition In 2019 joined K-CAP art center as a co-ordinator and a facilitator of Visual Arts, he also worked with Professor Zanele Muholi for Ikhono lase Natal. In 2020 he started a gallery at K-cap. He also opened his personal working-space sharing it with young artists in kwaMashu. In 2022 one of his work was collected by the Art bank South Africa and it was Published on Art times 2022. In 2023 he was in a Residence in Muholi Art Institute where he got a chance to collaborate with Professor Zanele Muholi in his art works.
