About The Artwork

This captivating ink and down drawing depicts a woman on an ADO bus ticket to Playa del Carmen. The work masterfully encapsulates the powerful idea of time and its transience. The elegant and delicate drawing is combined with the choice of ink and down, giving a sense of fluidity and movement in the figure of the woman. Its silhouette stands out on paper, creating an energetic and at the same time ephemeral presence. The woman portrayed has a serene and contemplative look, while immersed in the abstract landscape that surrounds her. The organic lines and shapes that make up this environment evoke the flow of time, with elements reminiscent of sea waves and beach sand lines. The bus ticket, with its faint-colored printed background, becomes an unexpected canvas for this artistic expression. The contrast between the daily reality of the journey and the transcendence of time becomes evident. The woman is in the middle of a transitory journey towards a holiday destination, but her presence captures an ephemeral moment in the eternity of art. As we carefully observe the work, we are invited to reflect on our own relationship with time. How long does a journey take? How long do we have to enjoy the things we love? This piece challenges us to appreciate the transience of each moment and to value the beauty in the ephemeral. This work of art, through the fusion of a human figure, the abstract environment and a bus ticket, becomes a poetic reminder of our own existence in a constantly changing world. It invites us to contemplate the passage of time and to find transcendence in the most simple and ephemeral moments of life.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
