Quizzical Print

I grew up in a small town near Byron Bay, Australia. Having lived in Australia, the UK, and Hong Kong for a short stint I now live in beautiful Sydney. I’ve always used art as an escape and get inspired unexpectedly, often by the way people move and how the environment interacts with them. I am self taught, and like to explore different ways of playing with negative space. I prefer to draw in conte crayons, as it allows for texture but doesn’t overwhelm me with mess like charcoals or pastels can. My life is a constant challenge to find a balance between the half of me that strives for rationality, logic and order with the half that lives in chaos, complexity and impulsiveness. I am a creature of routine that every so often flips my entire life upside down and inside out on a whim. I am a designer, illustrator and graphic scribe. I have a corporate job that satisfies my need for logic and order but to keep my soul filled, I draw, paint and try to capture people being present in a moment.
